Hartington Circular Walk ft. Pilsbury Castle - Peak District
With the amazing weather we've had (jixed it now, it's been raining since!) we really wanted to get outdoors and go for a great walk along in the Peak District. We probably should have checked the weather before we set off as there was a rather nasty grey cloud following us around all day. Our start point was a conveniently located pay and display. It was about £4 for 4 ish hours. We started this walk by taking a wrong turn (a detour as Mr W says), but as it was through a beautiful village, we couldn't really complain. The right way took us up a long road that was leading up to many farm lands. The footpath was clearly signposted and we crossed the over to the field. This was a little muddy, so was pleased we wore our walking boots. We climbed over many fields all of which either had lambs, cows or great views!
