Mam Tor Peak District

We went for a BIG walk around Mam Tor in the Peak District. It started off  around Hope and we walked around the town to get some sandwiches etc so we could have a mini picnic en route. As you can see from the photo, we had a dog with us! Meet Ella, she is my favourite dog and for a little dog, she can walk for a long time! Plan for a few hours for this walk.


The views were incredible on this walk, and even though it was far and steep, we'd love to do it again. We had a look for circular routes around Mam Tor online and this was the one we saw and followed, https://www.walkingenglishman.com/peakdistrict04.htm.

One thing to note about this walk is that you do need decent clothes and boots. If the weather changes, like it did with us, the last part goes through fields and it got very boggy.
