Chaterly Whitfield, Stoke-on-Trent

This quick walk took us around Chatterly Whitfied. It was Staffordshire Day 2017, so we walked close to home to fully embrace the day. Here's the route we took, it was fairly flat with the exception of some small hills and these steps which seemed to go on forever - well for one of us anyways!
This is a great walk if you want to go out for an hour or two and blow away the cobwebs! It was great seeing some of the history and exploring the place we live a little bit further.  Chatterly Whitfield is a disused coal mine site and quite incredible to think how many workers were here. The site was big with it's own old railway and plenty of buildings.
